Here’s a custom t-shirt that any guitarist would love. EADGBE refers to the open notes on all 6 strings of the guitar – the guitarist’s alphabet. My favorite mnemonic device for remembering the string names? Eddie Ate Dynamite – Good Bye Eddie. Not such good news for Eddie, but I haven’t forgotten any of the string names since I learned it!

This Blink 182 merch is genius. Fans usually get all the merch they want, but what about the guy who has to sit behind the table and peddle shirts, logo buttons, and posters in a dark venue all night – where’s the love for him? Blink 182 decided to give props to these hardworking guys and gals by giving them some custom t-shirts of their own. The printed shirt reads “I sold merch for Blink 182 and all I got was this crappy t-shirt (and a paycheck)”

What makes this Doors t-shirt such a great item is the classic doors logo and of course Jim Morrison in the background. The cycadelic image really makes this promotional t-shirt.

While promotional t-shirts and custom buttons make cool band merch, this promotional lapel pin is even cooler. As you are digging out your denim jacket looking for all your old 80′s band buttons and lapels add this lapel to your 80′s memorabilia collection.

We’ve mentioned a lot of promotional t-shirts being given out as concert giveaways. I didn’t know about this one though, The Killers must have given these out at one of their concerts. I think I want one for myself.

Does any one remember the band Sabbat? Until I came across this bunch of concert schwag I completely forgot about them. This collection of giveaways includes promotional t-shirts, which are always a popular concert giveaway.

Sonic Youth Merch

Friday (July 4), River2River and WFMU brought Sonic Youth (and the Feelies) to Battery Park where they put on a pretty rockin’ show.  Not only was the show free (!), but the concert was full of people handing out promotions and giving away Sonic Youth and WFMU merch!

harry and the potters t-shirts

Ah, the lowly concert tee. Actually, not so lowly to begin with, but Harry and the Potters definitely take theirs up a notch or two! Start with some great designs and do some quality screenprinting onto some great colors of American Apparel shirts and you’ve definitely got a winning combination!
